I still find there's quite a difference between a girl friend and a wife

Will she mind setting up all night with a baby daughter running a fever.

Bathing her forhead hour after hour and praying by the morning it'll leave her

Will she know the right words for the grocier when her credits no good any more

And will she expect the times she'll feel like fourty when she knows she's only 24
|

Will she stay by you when the rents due and there's no money coming in

And will she understand not gettin that new dress she's waited for from gods knows when

Can she choose between new shoes for the kids and a payment for the bank

Will she do all these things the way I did and expect only love never even thanks
