Shelter From The Storm
By Frank Peter Hermsen
How often did I ask my lifeline why
I had to suffer just to find
A shelter where it¢¥s safe and warm
In the neverending torturing storm
I always saw the house, couldn¢¥t find the door
And I never knew what I was here for
Years I waited for a sign in the rain
To show me just a place to forget my pain
Shelter from the storm
The world lies in coldness but you are the warmth
When truth is reality let¢¥s be the lie
When you are the death I¢¥ll gladly die
Maybe you and me we¢¥re trapped in the dark
Maybe you and me we¢¥re chained to the ground
But this is what I have been waiting for
What I always searched but never found
After all it will be the songs that you sing
Your voice in the night is my way to survive
And all those voices from the darker side
I¢¥ll beat them to protect your pride
Shelter from the storm
The world lies in coldness and you are the warmth
When truth is reality let¢¥s be the lie
When you are the death I¢¥ll gladly die
