미국 중부에서 가장 큰 도시 CHICAGO, 농산물의 중심지이며 D.L. MOODY가 기독교 부흥을 일으킨 곳이지만 그곳에도 밤의 세계는 있어 알 카포네같은 마피아 깽 영화로 우리에겐 더 잘 알려진 도시. 1920년대 SHOW BUSINESS (연예계)와 겨서 일어난 살인사건. 그것도 STAR를 꿈꾸던 금발 미모의 여인ROXIE에 의해.

그당시 재판 실화를 가지고 만든 뮤지컬로 코믹하면서도 재즈와 춤과 함께 연예계와 재판과정의 부패한 뒷면을 보여줍니다. 최근 영화로 만들어져 ACADEMY 수상을 받은 작품.
