소위 3세대 프로그레시브 메탈 그룹들 가운데서 엠프티 트레모나 엘드리치, 인챈트 등과 함께 뛰어난 실력을 인정받은 페인 오브 샐베이션(Pain Of Salvation). 지금까지 총 4장의 앨범을 발표한 그들은 초기 국내에서 널리 알려지지 않았다. 일본에서 먼저 이들의 가능성을 알아보고 라이선스로 소개될 때 우리나라 마니아들은 비싼 가격을 치르고 인터넷을 통해서야 그들의 앨범을 들을 수 있었다. 하지만 2000년 세 번째 앨범이 국내에도 라이선스로 발매되면서 본격적으로 우리나라에도 소개되었다.
