Robin Thicke has finally premiered the new official video for one of his latest singles, “Pretty Lil’ Heart”, which is a pretty successful collaboration with rapper Lil’ Wayne. And to be quite honest, it was about time we got to see the visuals for this single, cause ever since the blue-eyed crooner released it back in November, 2011, the song has been gaining more and more popularity. Well, as some would say, better late than never, the new video is out and it’s quite interesting.

What’s quite odd about the clip, is the fact that even though Robin’s had a pretty long time to get it right, the story line isn’t all that coherent. The freshly released video shows us the man of the hour, Robin Thicke, surrounded by some pretty women somewhere out in the desert, at a remote motel. The weirdest element about this new clip is a small mechanical monkey, which serves as Robin’s toy throughout the entire clip (i just don’t get it, he has all those pretty girls hovering around him, and yet, his attention is captured by a toy monkey… his wife must be very proud of him).

The freshly premiered music video for “Pretty Lil’ Heart” was directed by Marc Klasfeld and it was shot in in a Californian desert. What we do like about the clip is the fact that Robin channels his inner James Dean, and he does it quite well. Of course, Lil Wayne also made a cameo appearance, which adds a little spice to the clip.

When asked about the song, Robin declared that: “The inspiration behind this song was really just about when you’re in a relationship and you’re faced with all the challenges of temptation and attraction to other people, how can you trust when you’re not with that other person [that] they’re doing you right?”.
