It's 8 o'clock and she gets out of bed. She drinka a coffee cup to wake her sleepy head.
Puts on her slippers to greet the sun. Grabs the newspaper to see what she's never done.
Turns on the TV to dull her mind. She's tired of living but she finds ways to survive.
Steps in the shower to wash her tears away. She's got a headache and a lot of bills to pay.
She don't like those cigarettes but she calls me every morning. She says she still loves but I just don't buy her story.
Because she acts as if I'm just okay, but I suppose that's just the way she's gotta be. Because she's more lke a woman than me.
These men are staring as she walks through the door. She works the same job as she always has before.
She says her hellos, how are you? Thanks I'm fine. Sings in her heads the songs she knows how to pass the time.
It's 10 o'clock and she gets into bed. Turn out the lightswitch to lay down her sleepy head
She falls asleep, another day is done. But in her dreams she knows her life has just begun.
She don't like those cigarettes, but she calls me every morning. She says she still loves but I just don't buy her story.
Because she acts as if I'm just okay, but I suppose that's just the way she's gotta be. Because she's more like a woman than me.
